Overboard in Oak Bay
In October 2021, the container ship MV Zim Kingston experienced a fire and lost 109 containers off the coast of Victoria, BC, leading to debris washing up on Vancouver Island beaches, and prompting investigations into marine emergency preparedness. This is my interpretation of the event.
